Editing and printing this poster

A0 measures 841 × 1189 mm. Its large portrait canvas can accommodate a complete study narrative, but extra area should be used to enlarge essential figures rather than add dense paragraphs. Set the PowerPoint page size before editing, preserve the aspect ratio when replacing images and inspect a print proof at the intended viewing distance. A1 is a smaller option when your venue provides less display space.

A1 measures 594 × 841 mm and is a compact portrait option. Select a small number of findings, shorten background text and group figure captions with their images. Reducing an A0 poster to A1 also reduces every label, so revise text and chart annotations instead of relying on automatic scaling. The A1 file already uses the target page dimensions.

The 36 × 48 inch template is 36 inches wide and 48 inches high, a portrait canvas equivalent to 914.4 × 1219.2 mm. Confirm that your printing service interprets the first number as width. This size is not identical to A0: changing between them can crop content or alter margins. Check both the printer maximum width and the display-board dimensions before ordering.

  1. Replace the title, authors and study text in PowerPoint while preserving a clear reading sequence.
  2. Insert your own data graphics and scientific figures; check units, captions and references against your evidence.
  3. Export a PDF and inspect the actual page dimensions, label size and image clarity before sending it to print.
